Today’s children are tomorrow’s rulers. In order to play a part in creating a God-fearing future, we targeted on cultivating the fear of God in the minds of children right from their childhood.
Our children ministry involves Sunday School every Sundays where they are taught the Word of God in a way appealing and understandable by children. The curriculum is designed in such a way that by the time they finish the Sunday School, they are equipped to face the world and defeat all the threats and problems that the devil throws at them. Exams are conducted periodically to ensure that the Word of God is implanted into their little hearts. They are equipped with spiritual knowledge so that the word of God sustains them at all times.
God has blessed our children with multiple talents such as singing, memory verse recitation and writing, story-telling, preaching, quick Bible reference, and Bible quiz. The prizewinners in the annual talent contest held by the Assemblies of God are proof of the talent God has blessed our children with. In addition to their Sunday School portions, children are encouraged to memorize Bible verses and recite them in the Sunday Worship.
To make studying the word of God interesting, we have come up with various challenges and contests within the church. The rigor and enthusiasm shown by each child in participation is highly admirable. Truly God is praised and glorified through these tiny tots. They compete with the young adults and adults in many of the contests, and have come out in flying colors.
Our children take the pride in singing the offering song every Sunday, an event which every adult looks forward to. The name of our Lord being glorified through the mouth of these children is a joy to behold.
The children are encouraged and are guided spiritually so that they receive the anointing of the Holy Spirit with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues at a young age itself. Special student’s camp and prayer sessions are conducted for this purpose. The sight of all the children praying in tears and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in such prayers are a joy to behold.
Special student’s prayer meet is conducted each year during the time of final exams. Our children excel not only in spiritual competitions, but in secular studies as well. Deserving children who score well in the X and XII exams are rewarded accordingly.
A dedicated group of teachers are allocated and each teacher takes the responsibility of the spiritual growth of the children they are assigned to. Under their loving care and guidance, our children grow into a spiritually strong person, ready to face the world.
