Social taboos are still a threat to the gospel in India as people of other cultures fear to leave home and come to church. They are worried about social stigma. To make situations better for them we encourage prayer cells at Homes of believers so that non-believers can gather to pray and meditate in a non-church atmosphere. This is particularly beneficial for people where they are the only saved member in the family.
The prayer cells are a key factor in praying for the lost souls, especially for the salvation of other unsaved members in the family so that one day they can worship the Lord as a family.
God has enabled us to break many barriers through the prayer cells though we have few obstacles to overcome in bringing unsaved people to Christ. We believe that standing before the throne of grace will pave way for more people to come to Christ.
There is a specific department in church known as the “Prayer Department” where believers come together for an hour every day to pray for the nation and intercede with the Lord. Witnessing the answers for the prayers make us realize the power of our God almighty and our hearts fill with gratitude.
We as a church together start the day with prayer in the morning at 5:30 am. We wind up our day’s activity with prayer at 8:00 pm every day. Thus, prayer bonds us together and strengthens our fellowship with each other breaking the barriers of distance and accessibility, thanks to the internet and online facilities. In this way we gather twice a day as a church in prayer to glorify our God.
No matter what the endeavors the believers undertake, they are assured of a team of people supporting them by standing on their knees in prayer. With this assurance, our believers have scaled mountains and achieved great things. We are privileged to get such support from our church.
It is to be noted that we are taught how to pray. Lessons on prayer and sessions on prayer has been conducted to help each believer to pray and become a prayer warrior, enabling us to grow as a praying church. These sessions are instrumental in the success of the prayer cells.
Pray without ceasing is a command given to us. The prayer cells help us in achieving them.
